Mainstreethost is awesome. Here's why...
I've worked a lot of jobs, more small business jobs then large corporations and most small business owners are shrewd, patronizing and their attempt at a family atmosphere is not genuine. The reason is that, in my opinion, there is an insecurity due to a week product. Mainstreethost is not a weak product by any means. I've only worked there since September 2011 and I'm incredibly surprised with how much the workers care about the clients.
When I first started I googled the company. I thought I was headed into a job that would last 2 or maybe 3 months. How could I work in an environment with such a horrible reputation online?
Little did I know that the to-do list on Mainstreethost's was Customer Care, Reputation and Positive Change. This is something that I've heard weekly from the guy in head of operations, more than sales, more than working an account as fast as possible. Research is important to this company. Not only research on how to best optimize, design and help a business with our work, but research into how to better serve a client base with the newest technologies working daily. This is the stuff that matters to them.
What I realize about this company is that, being a small business means a concentrated effort to give you the service of a large corporation and the care of a local grocery. Communicating is the key to making a customer empowered and better at their business. Some companies will be very brief while reporting the information they've gathered, so the customer has to rely on them. Not us. I've been told time and time again, for our new Quarterly Reporting that their are only minimums on what information we should have. There is no template to these new tools, the reason is because doing the same report company wide, while it would be time effective and easier to write something droll and uninspired, the management pushes us to strive to be better, give as much information as possible and focus on the things that will help our clients grow with us. In a world of tough economic situations, they want to band together and see businesses grow so long standing partnerships can grow. Yes we charge for a service just as our customers do. But the difference between our company and our competitors is gaping. First, with the company, we (employees) use the term "we". The reason is because we're collectively under the same mindset. We (Mainstreethost employees) share the same goal. This job, which for some will span into a career and some with use as a leaping point, is a place where you can work and prove yourself and experience new things and different positions. There are larger SEO companies out there, with more employees, more services and possibly lower rates, but the management at Mainstreethost nurtures the employees to better serve the client and gives a workload that keeps the employees busy enough to be challenged and sharp with their skills. Working with all walks of life, Mainstreethost has services that fit the needs of people in the construction field, to psychics. From pet groomers to environmental focuses us on becoming versatile and knowledgeable across the board with the businesses we are able to assist in getting the exposure they need to survive. We are a lifeline when so many people are out of work and so many businesses are folding. By no means are we magic workers. My fellow employees and I know what we can and can't do for your site. But what you will get from us, is a staff who knows their work, are not afraid to ask for help (and are not punished for it) who will accept a negative stat if only to know that in that negative stat, the information we learned will help your business to better itself and provide for it's clients as well as we know that we do ours.
Mainstreethost is dedicated to learning and with that appreciating our mistakes but championing our accomplishments. We as a company strive to succeed in business and continue to progress with every criticism we receive. Here at Mainstreethost we endure through these tough economic times because you help us better ourselves. You push us to be better every day not only as a service, but as employees who want to perform well.
